Positively Peden Photography

I know I am supposed to start back up on the 20th, but I couldn’t resist putting these pics up. Brent and I were outside putting the front tires back on my Neon so it will be ready for the people to come pick it up on Monday (I am donating it to the Breast Cancer Foundation). Brent lifted one of the tires and found this creepy ass guy. He was probably about three to four inches including his legs, and had to have been the biggest spider I’ve ever seen up close. He was about the size of a tarantula. Of course, I couldn’t get close enough to him to take pics, so Brent did for me. We looked it up and found out he is most likely a Huntsman spider or a Wood spider. It gives me the heeby jeebies just looking at the pictures! These were taken with my Minolta since I left my camera at my parents’ house.

I really suck at keeping up with this thing…. I think I’m going to take another month off and add that at the end… So I’ll start again on the 20th… Sorry to anyone who actually reads this… I hate being so behind. =P

This weekend, my family dog Shelby was having a hard time breathing and was shaking, not eating and just wasn’t acting like herself. My dad took her to the vet today and they think she had cancer. She was really anemic and they said her body was just shutting down. She was put to sleep, and my dad was with her when she went. He said he could feel the relief when she went, so I know that she’s in a better place…. She was about 13 years old, and we had her since she was 2. She was such a good dog, and I will definitely miss her. =(

This picture was taken yesterday. While my mom was weeding the garden, I sat on the porch to get some fresh air since I was sick and Shelby came out to lay in the sun and get fresh air as well. Even with how bad she was feeling, she stuck close to everyone in the family.

I know I’m behind yet again, but the laptop has been broken (that’s where I put all my pictures) and now it’s fixed but I have Bronchitis, so I’m just not really up to taking pictures…. I will try to get caught up this week, and if not then I might just take a couple more weeks off and make them up at the end of the year… I hate being behind all the time, but it really wasn’t my fault this time. Lol. Sorry to anyone who was expecting to see some pictures… =(

My mom picked me up again today and on our way out of Snug Harbor, we stopped to take some pictures of some cows that were up against the fence on the side of the road. There’s two other pictures of them in my February gallery. These cows were cute cause one was licking the other cow’s ear. <3

Today my mom picked me up to go to Walmart with her and we saw this blimp in the sky. I didn’t get any really good pictures of it, so there’s this one and two others in the gallery of the blimp. I was taking the pictures out of the moving car. This one was kind of weird though because it really focused on the blimp itself, but everything else is blurred out… You can see the blimp in the telephone wires – it’s kind of tiny.

I changed the site around quite a bit and customized the layout all on my own. Everything you see on this page, I did myself. =) I’m getting pretty good at editing the codes and everything. The new calendar is one that I found in the WordPress plugins. It puts the picture from that day’s post in the square for each day. I really liked that, but it takes up a whole page (in the top menu) rather than being in the sidebar, so it will take some getting used to. Also, I need to insert pictures a different way in each post for them to show up on the calendar, so I need to go back and edit each post, so that will be something that I will get caught up on soon. Hopefully it doesn’t take too long…. I don’t plan on doing it for ALL my posts, since that would take forever, but I will do it for all posts in 2010. Check out all the new things I’ve changed and let me know what you think! =)

I’m changing the site around a little, so if you happen to come to the site while I’m doing it, it will probably look a little crazy… I’ll let you guys know when I’m finished. =)

I saw these geese out in the water and in the yard and thought they deserved some attention. They stick around our yard all the time and you can go outside just about any time during the day and see at least one goose out there.

And please ignore the pile of tissues on the little shelf behind him… I have a cold and I’m constantly blowing my nose. =P
