Day in OBX
7 Nov
Today we had a blast! We’ve been house/dog sitting for Mrs. Boone’s daughter this weekend in the Outer Banks. We got up this morning and it was super nice outside, so we took their Miata out to the beach with the top down and I took a ton of pictures – so many that I made a whole album just for them! We went out to the beach first, and there’s a picture of an old man walking – he stopped and talked to us for a bit – and there’s pics of birds and shells and waves and all that good stuff. Then we went to Dirty Dick’s Crabhouse for lunch. I had some Clam Chowder in a bread bowl and Brent had a crab melt… Both were delicious. Then we went out to the Wright Brother’s Memorial. I thought the memorial was really pretty with the sun the way it was and everything, so there’s tons of pictures of that. I also got a panoramic of the view from the top of the hill that has the memorial on it. I thought that came out pretty good. There’s a few kids in some of the pics. They were just some random kids around the memorial. After the memorial, we got a coffee from Dunkin Donuts, and they have a big pink lawn chair in front of the shop, so I had to get a pic of me in front of it. =)
I was soooo happy with the way my camera was taking pictures. I’m pretty proud of most of the pics in this album. My camera seems to do it’s best work in the outside sunlight, rather than inside… No matter how I change the ISO level or whatever, I never get this great of pictures inside…
We had a lot of fun today. I love it here. We are heading back home tomorrow. Even with all this fun, I still miss my Toulousey-Poo, so I’ll be happy to see him… <3
The Wright Brothers were pretty interesting to me, and if you want to learn about them, here's a link to their Wikipedia page: Click Here
