Still Some Snow!

31 Jan

The snow stuck over night, and we even got a tiny bit more. This picture is some pine cones in a tree… I thought they looked pretty with a little snow on top. =)

There’s lots more pictures of the snow in my January 2010 Gallery.

Finally Some Snow!

30 Jan

It finally snowed! I didn’t think it would because just a few days ago it was 60 degrees. I thought winter was pretty much over. But obviously, it’s not! =)

These are my feet. Big and goofy, but I thought this pic was kinda cute.

Boat

29 Jan

I know I’ve taken pictures of this boat before, but there’s not much around the yard right now to take pictures of. There’s no flowers or bugs or anything since it’s so wet and yucky… But there’s supposed to be snow later tonight and tomorrow, so hopefully there’s enough to get some good pictures. =)

Wheel Barrel

28 Jan

I like this picture… it’s simple and kinda rustic looking. =)

Sun in the Trees

27 Jan

I thought this picture was pretty. The sun was shining and the sky was a pretty blue. The sky is more blue in this picture however, because I used the polarizing lens filter my dad gave me for the Minolta.

Muddy Waters

26 Jan

I went outside hoping to get some good pictures since it’s finally sunny out, but everything is muddy and wet and dead and yucky looking… Lol. So I took this picture to show just how yucky everything is out there. =P

New Camera

25 Jan

Yesterday I went to my parents’ house for my sister’s birthday and my mom had gotten a new SLR (Sony a330) for her early birthday (this Sunday) present from my dad, so my dad gave me his old SLR to mess with. It’s a Minolta DiMAGE 7Hi. It’s about 8 years old, and it is a digital SLR. It takes pretty good pics to be so old, and it was top of the line when it first came out. It sucks up batteries like there’s nothing to it (good thing I have rechargeables), but other than that, it’s pretty nice. I went outside and took a few pictures today (the rest are in the January 2010 gallery), but I was already low on batteries so I couldn’t take too many… When I passed by our window, Toulouse was going nuts trying to get to me, so I took a picture of him. Hehe. The other pictures I took are pretty much pictures I’ve taken before with my Fuji, but I just wanted to see how different they would look. I’ll probably start using the Minolta pretty often if not every day, but I’ll put in the tag on the picture and the post whether I used my FujiFilm or the Minolta. And hopefully I can take some HDR’s since it takes .raw pictures. =)

Blue Fish

25 Jan

This picture was taken at Bass Pro Shop as well. I thought it was kinda cool cause it’s just a shadow of a fish, and the water is all blue. I didn’t do this in Photoshop… It just came out like that when I took the picture. =)

Bass Pro Cabin

24 Jan

Ahhh, finally, I’m back! You missed me, I know…. Do not fear, I’ll never leave you again! (lol)

My family and I went to Bass Pro Shop Friday in Virginia, and while we were leaving, I saw this display in the front of the store, and wanted to take a picture… Everyone laughed and said I was a dork, but I think this picture looks pretty good. And if you don’t look too closely, it looks like I actually took this at a real cabin in the woods. Hehe. =)

A Month Off

16 Jan

So, I think I’m just going to not try to catch up, and I’ll just take this month off. I’ll start up again on the 24th of January, and I’ll add another month to my whole Project 365 year. I hate doing this, but I’ve gotten so far behind that I don’t feel as though I can really catch up. So I have promised myself to start back up on the 24th and I will try my best to not fall so behind again.
