Zippers on my New Camera Case

Zippers on my New Camera Case!

This Week’s Theme: Alphabet V through Z

Today’s letter is Z. Sunday is my 21’st birthday, and Brent gave me my birthday present early since it came in the mail today. He got me a new camera case (the picture is zippers on it), another set of rechargeable batteries (so I can always have one set recharging) and an 8 GB SD card (I only had a 1 GB) all for my camera. I was so excited. Hehe. And my camera bag is huge, so I’m using it as a purse too… I put all my stuff from my purse into it along with my camera. Now I’m stylin’. Hehe. Anyways, this is the last alphabet day… I guess tomorrow and Sunday I’ll just take pictures of random things… Birthday cake and what-not. =)

Yellow Smiley Face

Yellow Smiley Face

This Week’s Theme: Alphabet V through Z

Today’s letter is Y. I chose to take a picture of my yellow smiley face coffee cup. I use it on my desk for pens and pencils. I tried to take some pictures for an HDR image, but it turns out that I can’t really do it with my camera. I need to take RAW images (rather than the more common JPEG), and my camera doesn’t do that… Only SLR’s take them… There are ways to make an HDR without RAW images, but it’s a bit harder, and I need to read up on it more, and watch a two and half hour long video tutorial on it… Lol. So I don’t plan on doing that right now, and my birthday is Sunday, so I don’t plan on watching it this weekend… Maybe some time next week I’ll watch it, and read up a little more and try some more HDR’s…

Xbox

HDR Xbox

This Week’s Theme: Alphabet V through Z

So today’s letter is X. I tried to come up with some fancy X word, but couldn’t, and ended up just taking a picture of Brent’s Xbox. I did however put a little more effort into this picture… I have been looking up tutorials on how to do an HDR (High Dynamic Range) image. This was my first attempt, and it turned out horrible, but I wanted to post it so I (and you) could watch my progress with it. Tomorrow I plan on taking a much better HDR (things outdoors make such better HDR images… Macros aren’t exactly the best shots for it) and I will post my results (even if they don’t have to do with Y). So anyways, if anyone else is interested on how to make HDR images, or just wants to see what an HDR looks like, click here. This was the best tutorial I found, and the guy who wrote it has a lot of great HDR images.

Thank mine and Brent’s friend Kad (David Scars – on my Facebook) for getting me into HDR’s… He takes amazing shots, and I can only hope to get some as good as his… =) He also told me what video tutorial he uses and I found the written version (linked above).

Writing Spider

Writing Spider

This Week’s Theme: Alphabet V through Z

Today’s letter is W. We found this Writing Spider at Brent’s mom’s work today. It was huge – probably about four inches big. I wouldn’t go near it, because I’m pretty sure I have arachnophobia (my chest actually tightens up and I can’t breath… Lol), so I had Brent take the pics for me. He was creeped out too by it, but he was able to get close and he took some good shots. There are two from the top of the spider, but you couldn’t really see the web, so I kept one picture from under him where you could really see the web, but the spider wasn’t in focus. He took about 20 pictures, but these two were the only ones where the spider was in focus. I don’t know why my camera wouldn’t focus on it… It focused on everything in the background rather than the spider…. I know there’s a feature on my camera where I can choose where it focuses, but I wouldn’t get close enough to the spider to figure it out… Lol. Don’t get me wrong though, this spider is pretty cool looking, and I think it’s so awesome how they do all the zig zags in their webs… I just don’t like spiders. I couldn’t even look at the pictures without getting the heeby jeebies. Hehe.

“Vicious” Doggy

This Week’s Theme: Alphabet V through Z

Today’s letter is V. We took one of Brittany’s friends home today after band practice, and he has a little Chihuahua named Lil’ Bit. She was adorable, but she barked at us the whole time. Brent was chasing her and she’d run but keep barking. She thought she was so tough. Lol. So I thought it would be cute to put her as a “Vicious” dog for the letter V.

Using Mama’s New Chair

Using Mama's New Chair

This Week’s Theme: Alphabet O through U

Today’s letter is U. I had a hard time coming up with this one… I was going to do Umbrella Tree, but what I thought was one, wasn’t. Lol. Earlier today, Brent set up a bookshelf for a couple his mom works for, and they gave us this big comfy chair. I love it! I moved my computer desk and put it in it’s place, and I stole Brent’s laptop and have been lounging in the chair with it. Hehe. But every time I get up, Toulouse steals the chair from me. Apparently he loves it too. <3

Tired Toulouse

Tired Toulouse

This Week’s Theme: Alphabet O through U

Today’s letter is T. We ended up pulling an all nighter, and when we finally went to bed around noon-ish, this is what I found – Toulouse, our three and a half year old cat. He wouldn’t wake up, even when I got in the bed and was shaking him around some. He was truly zonked out, and I guess I don’t blame him. He usually sleeps with us next to my pillow, and I guess he kept himself up while we were up. He’s so cute. I love how he had his face smashed against the pillow. It’s like he didn’t want any light, so he was covering his face with it. Lol. I think he was aggravated with us staying up. =)

Oh, and when I woke up around 6 pm, he was still like this. Haha. <3

A Sandy Heart

Sandy Heart

This Week’s Theme: Alphabet O through U

Today’s letter is S. I automatically knew what I was going to do with this one. I have been wanting to use my sand I have from Virginia Beach (Brent and I went there on our first date. I have a penguin jar filled with it and a vitamin water bottle… I got it for the penguin jar, but ended up with more than I needed. Lol). So, I pulled out a pretty lavender piece of paper and poured some sand on it and drew a heart. =)

This is the third time this week that I’ve taken a picture of something that had to do with Brent and I… I guess I’m in a romantic mood recently… <3

R is for Rings

Rings

This Week’s Theme: Alphabet O through U

Today’s letter is R. It was kinda hard for me to come up with something for this letter… I thought of Round, and Rectangular… But I guess my creative muse had checked out for the day… Anyways, this is my end result of lots and lots of pictures of things that started with R. The big gold ring is Brent’s class ring, and the small white gold one is my promise ring Brent gave me when we were first going out. Sadly, it doesn’t fit me anymore and I haven’t worn it in a while, so I need to get it resized… =(

Queen of Hearts

Cool Queen

This Week’s Theme: Alphabet O through U

Today’s letter is Q. It was a little difficult to come up with something that started with Q, but one of my friends on Facebook suggested Queen, so I brought out my Happy Bunny cards and took out the Queen of Hearts. The picture was rather boring, so I spiced it up some in Photoshop. The picture here in this post is the Photoshop’d one, obviously… I thought it looked a little more interesting than the original, but I put the original in my September album as well. =)
