This Week’s Theme: Alphabet O through U

Today’s letter is P. My first though was penguin, of course, but I went a little further by taking my penguin that’s all pink’d out and put her on a pink towel for a background. =)

I’m going to tell you the reason why I love penguins so much, in case you didn’t know… Hehe. So one day, when Brent and I were first going out (so probably a little over three years ago), Brent was on his laptop and he saw on a website a random fact that a certain type of male penguins bring the female they like a pebble, and if she accepts this pebble, they are mates for life. So the next day, Brent found a pebble and gave it to me and asked me to be his penguin. I know, cute, right?? Hehe. So ever since then, he’s called me his little penguin and I’ve called him my big penguin. And we have about a million penguins we’ve gathered over the last few years all over our room, including penguin sheets, stuffed animals, figurines, a jewelry box, earrings, soap dispensers, frames, and a jar that’s shaped like a penguin that I filled with sand from Virginia Beach (where we went for our first date). I looove my big penguin. <3

Today’s letter is O. I took this picture of a tiny little octopus on the side of the Neptune statue. He was just too cute. =)

Today’s letter is N. I saw this statue of Neptune (or Poseidon… whatever you want to call him) on the Virginia Beach boardwalk and he turned out to be an awesome opportunity for pictures. It was such a pretty day outside too. A perfect day to walk on the beach. =)

Today’s letter is M. I took a picture of Brittany (Brent’s little sister), their mom, and her two friends Kayla and Phoebe in the Mystery Machine in King’s Dominion. We went there for Brittany’s sweet 16. I had a hard time deciding whether or not I wanted to bring my camera along, but I’m glad I did. I got a few good shots. =)

Today’s letter is L. We all went to Virginia Beach on the way out to Richmond to go to King’s Dominion, and we went walking along the boardwalk with Brent’s grandpa and I was trying to come up with an L word to take a picture of. Then I saw all the lifeguard stands, and decided that was a good one. =)

Today’s letter is K. I chose to do a knot in some wood. Brent came up with it, yet again… I think this picture came out kinda cool. =)

Today’s letter is J. I actually took this picture a few days ago just for this theme. The letters are falling apart, but “JCH” stands for Jim “Catfish” Hunter. Our town has quite a few things around to remember him by, like this baseball which is on the building next to the football field at the school, his grave in the cemetery behind the school with a big tomb stone, and a sign on the highway here in Hertford, NC. He was born here, and played for a couple major league baseball teams, including the Yankees… If you want to know more about him, you can click HERE to see his wikipedia page.

Happy September everyone! Today’s letter is I and I decided on ice cubes. I had a hard time coming up with this one as well… Brent of course, helped me out. I think he needs to be doing this instead. Lol. Anyways… I tried a few angles of the ice… These ice cubes are in the ice maker still, so that’s why the picture is so white… Maybe I should have tried a picture of a cube somewhere else… I don’t know. I guess that’s why I’m doing this, so I can learn from it.

Today’s letter is H. I chose to take a picture of a Handicap sign. Brent thought of it… Again. I don’t know what I’d do without him. He comes up with ideas way before I do. Lol. I had been thinking about what I could do all day and for whatever reason I couldn’t come up with something… Then I asked Brent and after five seconds of thinking, he said “Handicap sign”… Haha.

This Week’s Theme: Alphabet A through G

Today’s letter is G. We were outside washing Brent’s mom’s truck and her boyfriend’s truck today, and all our geese friends were out there like they are every day, and it hit me! Today’s letter is G, and geese starts with G!! Lol. I counted, and there were 28 geese out there. Sometimes some little ducks come and join in the fun as well. Brent’s mom’s boyfriend puts cracked corn in the yard so they come by every single day and hangout in the yard pretty much all day long. They let us get pretty close too. The only bad part about them coming here is our yard is covered in goose poop. Haha. Oh, and our apples on our apple tree are starting to die, so today there was tons of butterflies all over them. I got my camera right up on them and they didn’t budge. =) So there’s three pics of them in my gallery as well.
