Black & White Brent

Black & White Brent

This Week’s Theme: Alphabet A through G

Today’s letter is B. Of course, I used “B”rent for today, but I went a bit further and made him “B”lack and White. Plus, this picture was pretty dark, so what little color there was in it, didn’t look all that great. Also, I posted some pretty sunset pictures I took while on the way to Elizabeth City. We got new phones today. Maybe I’ll make tomorrow’s word “C”ell phones. <3

Fun Day on the Farm

Lindsay in Black and White

This Week’s Theme: Body Parts

Today’s body part is Lindsay’s back. Brent’s mom was cleaning for Miss Rene’ today and Brent had to do some technical stuff around their house so he and I went to work with his mom. Rene’ has two twin girls, Lauren and Lindsay and they took us out to see the cows when Brent got done with what he had to do. We took their little doggie Susie with us and walked down to see all the cows. They were all scattered until they saw Susie, and they started to freak. They all ran to the fence and just stared at her. It was so funny. So I got plenty of pics of those cows. Then Lindsay went inside while Lauren took Brent and I all over the farm their family owns. First we saw goats, and we just drove by them at first. Then we came back and got out of the golf cart/four wheeler thing Lauren was driving us around on and fed the goats some peanut shells. Then Lauren says, “Look, it’s Big Daddy!” and this HUGE goat comes around the corner! Haha. He just checked us out for a bit and then went back to whatever he was doing. Then we went and saw the pigs. They were insane! They made barking noises and stuff, and this one was just sitting in the corner not worrying about anything… Then we saw some chickens. They weren’t really doing much. Then we came back and swam in the pool. That felt good because it was so hot outside. But anyways, there was so many pictures that I had to put them into another gallery separate from July’s gallery. We had a lot of fun today. =)

Can You Hear Me Now?

This Week’s Theme: Body Parts

Today’s body part is Brent’s ear. I messed with a few different angles, but this one to me looked pretty neat. It was hard to make an ear look good… To me they’re just strange looking. Lol.

I love Brent’s freckles he’s got on his ears. So cute. <3

Yucky Blister

Yucky Blister

I apologize for the gross-ness of today’s picture, but I thought it was pretty relevant to the fireworks pictures I posted yesterday. I got this blister walking about a mile to the fireworks, and I have another one on my other ankle (it’s about half that size though). But it was mostly my fault – I didn’t wear socks with my shoes because I was in a rush out the door. I learned my lesson though. I have a very low tolerance for pain, so I’ve been trying to stay off my feet. Brent’s been putting peroxide and Neosporin on it for me. He takes such good care of me. Anyways, today’s post is all about my dedication to Project 365. Otherwise I wouldn’t have posted that gross picture of my blister. Lol.

Heart Shaped Sparks

Fireworks

So this picture was from last night, but I took so many cool firework pictures, and I wanted to show them off. I had my tripod with me, but there were sooooo many people, and no room to put out a tripod. So I just held the camera myself, which made the fireworks a little shaky, but some came out cool. I love this one because the closer you get to the bottom of the fireworks, the more they look like little hearts. It’s so cute. But anyways, I have one that has little 7 shapes, and a lot with just little swirly shapes. Last night was fun, but I ended up getting blisters on my feet because there were no parking spots closer than like, a mile to where we watched the fireworks. It was horrible. I wish we could have found somewhere away from all the people. That’s the only reason I hate going. I love watching fireworks, but when you’re shoulder to shoulder with a ton of strangers and people keep walking in front of you even though you have a damn camera pointed at the fireworks… *sigh* The things I go through for the sake of photography. Brent’s wonderful though, because he hates it just as much as I do, but he came along so I wouldn’t have to go all by myself. I love him. Hehe.

Oh, and I added a photo in my gallery of a cool looking grave I saw while we were walking to the fireworks. i was mostly trying out settings with my camera since I never take pictures outside. (In case you were wondering what it was and why I took it.)

And none of my pictures I put up today were edited in Photoshop. A few of them were small fireworks, so I edited them into one picture with a screen on the top layers. Other than that though, there’s no color changes or blurs or anything like that. Just so you know. =)

Sparkler Heart

Sparkler Heart

Brent took me out to Edenton to get some pics of the fireworks. I got some really good ones, but I want to try to combine some of them to make it look like there’s a bunch of fireworks going off at once… It might take me a while since I have almost 600 pics to go through, so tomorrow I’ll put them up. When we got home we took the sparklers out and made shapes and ended up with some awesome pics. This heart one was my favorite. Brent was making the heart with the sparkler. I like that you can’t even see that anyone was making it. It just looks like the heart is floating. Hehe. Anyways, tomorrow I will put up a few of my best firework pics and the rest of the sparkler pics. Happy Fourth of July everyone!!

Actually, I just noticed.. If you look real close when you have the image full size, you can kinda see Brent… he looks like a ghost. Lol

My Lovies

My Lovies

Today was a great day. We had to go out early to mail out my old camera so Brent and I got some breakfast from McDonald’s. Then we came back and took a nap and then woke up and snuggled some more. We let the kitties out to play (since they were sick, we had to keep them in a big box so they didn’t puke all over the room, but they’re feeling better now) and they played for a while. Then Clyde came and snuggled with Brent, and they were both sleeping. It was too cute, so that was my photo for today. I also put up a picture of a street sign that was in front of the post office that said Perquimans Street (we live in Perquimans County). And our yard looked so sunny so I got a picture of that. Anyways, we’re getting ready to watch a movie and snuggle some more – snuggling is my favorite thing to do in case you didn’t know. =)
