Positively Peden Photography

I saw these geese out in the water and in the yard and thought they deserved some attention. They stick around our yard all the time and you can go outside just about any time during the day and see at least one goose out there.

The sun looked so pretty on the canal. I like taking pictures with the sun in the shot so I get a little lens flare. =)

The snow melted… =( It was good while it lasted though… Now everything’s muddy and yucky again. =P

There’s still some snow today! It’s starting to melt a little, but it’s probably going to stick for another day or two. =)

This pic was actually taken the other day with the bird pictures, but I posted it today since I’m too lazy to get another picture. =P

I love the reflection in this picture, and the fogginess adds an eerie feel to it. =)

This morning, I was kept awake by about a million birds right outside our open window. Brent actually slept through all the chirping, but all I could think of was how I should be out there taking a picture… Lol. So I got up, and got dressed and grabbed my camera… Of course, by the time I got out there, they decided that an hour was long enough to stay in one spot, so they had left…. But they were down the canal, so I was getting some pictures of them. It was pretty cool though because they’d all fly off at one time and it would make this big windy sound. And they were all black, with an orange stripe on the inside of their wings. I thought I got pretty good shots, seeing as my camera was zoomed in all the way. The yard was too wet and swampy for me to go down to the water, but I think I still got some good ones. The neighbors were funny because they kept making noises and banging on the windows trying to get the birds to go away. I was just enjoying it all. I thought it was pretty awesome… At one point they all started flying toward me and all I could think of was the movie “Birds” by Alfred Hitchcock, and I freaked a little, but they turned around. Hahaha. Anyways, I hope you guys think it is awesome too. Lol.

Edit: And in case you’re wondering why it’s all hazy, it was really foggy at the time. =)

So, this is another picture I’m really not happy with. The sunset was beautiful on the canal, and I really wanted a better picture than this… *sigh*

I’m posting these crappy pictures so that when I finally do get a nice camera, you can see the difference. =)

While getting in the car, I looked out to the canal in our backyard and had to take a picture. I am really loving all the fall colors… And our backyard isn’t even really all turned.
