I thought this picture needed it’s own post. While I was taking pictures of the tulip tree, this little bee was watching me from a flower. I named him Buzz. Lol. I thought it was cute that he was sitting there watching me take pics… He sat there almost the whole time. I think he got bored, cause he flew off after about five minutes. =)

I went to my parents’ house yesterday and my mom had these Hyacinths in her garden. She planted them last year, and they popped up in the last week. I thought the pink ones were so pretty. There were purple ones too, but I didn’t get any good pics of those. I also put a picture of some Daffodils that were growing between my parents’ house and their neighbors’ house. The purple Henbits in the gallery I took last week, but I left my camera over there so I put the picture up with these ones. I love Spring. All the pretty flowers make for good pictures. =)

This Week’s Theme: Green
Today was a blast! First off, today’s Green picture is of a little froggy I found on the gate at Mrs. Boone’s house today. Since I have been naming just about every creature I’ve taken a picture of, I named him Kermy. I also got another picture of a bigger version of him later on, and just assumed that it was his mom, so I named her Hermy. Lol. There’s quite a few pictures I posted in my August Gallery from today, so go check them all out. I really need to research what all these flowers and plants are called so I can properly name them in the titles… I’m sick of naming things “Pink Flower” or “Yellow Flower”. And you can see some type of plant that I just named “Pretty Stuff” because I had no clue what it was called, but I love it. It’s all around the water around here, and I just think it’s so pretty. And I was lucky enough that when we first got there this morning, there was dew all over everything, so there’s some great pics of flowers with dew all on the petals. Anyways, if anyone knows what any of these plants are called, PLEASE let me know… =)
I was going to desaturate everything but the green in the frog, but there wasn’t really a lot of other color in the picture, so I left it the way it was.

This Week’s Theme: Flowers
Today’s flowers are from one of the Yucca bushes in our driveway. I never knew that they bloom on the top of the Yucca. I just thought a Yucca was the prickly things. I have more pictures of these flowers and the plant they grow on top of in my gallery. I think they make quite a statement – such pretty flowers growing on such prickly (and painful) plants. I actually poked my thumb trying to get a close pic of these flowers, and it was bleeding. So I hope you guys like them. Lol. I think this picture was definitely the best of the bunch. It even has a little bokeh effect in the background. =)

This Week’s Theme: Flowers
So these aren’t exactly flowers, but I thought they looked cool. I thought they were blueberries, and I was really close to eating one, but Brent told me not to. Then I asked his mom’s boyfriend if he knew what they were and he said they call them Snake Berries or something like that, and they’re not fatally poisonous, but they’ll make you sick. So I’m glad I didn’t eat them. Haha. But I thought this was a nice shot. The stem is a really pretty color pink.

Today’s flowers are Black-Eyed Susan and Anise. When Brent’s mom brought these home, she told us to take one of the seeds off the end of the Anise and eat it. I did this, and it tasted just like black licorice. So good. She said the lady that gave them to her makes Italian cookies out of them for Christmas. I’ve tried the cookies before, but I never knew that the plant used to make them tasted so much like them. Anyways, I love the Black-Eyed Susan because its’ petals come down from the middle instead of up.

This Week’s Theme: Flowers
I’m really not sure what kind of flower this is, but it’s pretty strange looking. That’s what I love about it. I like finding strange, out of the ordinary flowers. I think those are the best to take pictures of – rather than just taking a picture of the same old, same old. So if anyone knows what kind of flower this is, let me know. =)
