Almost Heart Leaf

Almost Heart Leaf

This leaf almost looks like a heart. I thought it was a funny shape, so I had to get a shot of it…. I’m not sure what it is though. It’s indoors now, because it’s been getting cold out.

Green Ornament

I thought this picture was pretty with the bokeh in the background and the reflections in the ornament. =)

Flip Flop

Flip Flop

This Week’s Theme: Green

Today’s green item – though, not all green – is my flip flop key chain I got in Virginia Beach. I hate how the picture turned out, and I am sorry I was too lazy to do anything else… I’ve been reading all day and I just didn’t feel like taking a picture… One of those days I guess. Tomorrow starts a new theme though, and I should be more than willing to take a picture. =)

Green Eye

Green Eye

This Week’s Theme: Green

This pretty green eye is the eye of my kitty, Toulouse. Currently, he’s curled up in my lap because there’s a thunderstorm and he’s scared to death of them. Lol. He didn’t mind me sticking the camera in his eye to take this either. He’s such a good cat. <3

Caster’s Cove Way

Caster's Cove Way

This Week’s Theme: Green

Today’s green item is a street sign. Snug Harbor is the name of the area we live in, and Snug Harbor Road runs throughout this area. We were driving along, and I said, “I’d like to take a picture of a street sign for my green theme.” So we stopped to take a picture of Caster’s Cove Way. This sign is probably the newest one in this area that I know of, so it was the nicest looking one. I’ve been wanting to do a picture like this for a while, and I’m pretty happy with the way it turned out.

Pages from Sookie Stackhouse

Pages from Sookie Stackhouse

This Week’s Theme: Green

I swear, when taking this picture, I had no idea I was on a sex scene page. Hehe. Anyways, I chose my reading glasses for my green item today, and it just fit to put them on the book I’m actually reading. They’re black on the side that shows when I wear them, but green on the inside – which you can see in this pic… Anyways, I love the Sookie Stackhouse novels. This is the first one. I’ve read the whole nine-book series two times already, and am currently reading them again. They’re just as good the second and third time reading them. In case anyone wants to know what this series is about, it takes place in Bon Temps, Louisiana, and it’s about a waitress, Sookie, who can read minds, and falls in love with Bill, a vampire. It’s in a world where vampires have “come out of the coffin” (meaning everyone knows about them) and because the Japanese invented some synthetic blood that comes in a beer-type bottle, they don’t have to hunt people anymore. There’s a lot more to it, but I don’t want to give too much away. The books have to be the best vampire series EVER and there’s even a show on HBO called “True Blood” which is based on them, which is equally good. =)

Seeing Green Spots

Seeing Green Spots

This Week’s Theme: Green

Today’s green item is my hair brush. I did a close up of the bristles. I thought it would look better than it came out, but I’m still happy with the result. My favorite color is green, so I have plenty of green things around the room. I wanted to avoid using leaves and plants as my green things, and so far I’ve done pretty good. The clovers yesterday don’t count, cause they just looked cool. Lol.

When you click on the image to see the full version, you can still see some hairs in there that I just couldn’t get out… Hopefully it doesn’t ruin the picture…

Green Clovers

Clovers

This Week’s Theme: Green

Today’s green picture is of some clovers I found in the back yard today. I love them, because the leaves look like little hearts. I was going to take a closer picture, but the wind was blowing them around and this was the only clear picture that came out.

The power went out today for five and a half hours because a crop duster plane crashed into some power lines, and we lit a candle in our room. I tried to take some cool pictures of the flame, but it just wasn’t working the way I wanted to… I think the way I want the flames to look would come out a lot better from a bonfire or something.

Kermy the Frog

Kermy

This Week’s Theme: Green

Today was a blast! First off, today’s Green picture is of a little froggy I found on the gate at Mrs. Boone’s house today. Since I have been naming just about every creature I’ve taken a picture of, I named him Kermy. I also got another picture of a bigger version of him later on, and just assumed that it was his mom, so I named her Hermy. Lol. There’s quite a few pictures I posted in my August Gallery from today, so go check them all out. I really need to research what all these flowers and plants are called so I can properly name them in the titles… I’m sick of naming things “Pink Flower” or “Yellow Flower”. And you can see some type of plant that I just named “Pretty Stuff” because I had no clue what it was called, but I love it. It’s all around the water around here, and I just think it’s so pretty. And I was lucky enough that when we first got there this morning, there was dew all over everything, so there’s some great pics of flowers with dew all on the petals. Anyways, if anyone knows what any of these plants are called, PLEASE let me know… =)

I was going to desaturate everything but the green in the frog, but there wasn’t really a lot of other color in the picture, so I left it the way it was.

Green Gertie

Green Gertie

This Week’s Theme: Green

This week, I wanted to do a color, and green seemed like a good one to start with. In this picture, I desaturated everything except all the green. I also posted the original in my gallery if anyone wants to see it in color. I love this picture, because my Aunt Diane drew this for me when I was little and told me if I hung it in my room, Gertie would ward off any monsters or ghosts and she’d keep me safe. My aunt passed away when I was about 7 or 8, so this picture is very special to me. I want to get a tattoo of it eventually. Definitely a lot smaller, and I’d probably put it on my shoulder. The smaller picture in the frame of a tiger with wings is another of her drawings. It’s not the original, just a copy. My mom has that tattooed on her back (she was her sister).
